Are your general practitioners loyal, totally committed, and focused on their profession and their communication? If the pioneers of social services are not sure of this answer, the understanding of the quality of the consideration may be in danger.
The expression “commitment to nursing” is commonly used to refer to the level of responsibility and satisfaction of health professionals about their profession and the association for which they work. The commitment to nursing corresponds specifically to the well-being, quality, and results of working with patients. Likewise, we observe that it is the main indicator of the diversity of mortality in all health centers, much more important than the number of nursing staff.
Another study conducted by the Advisory Council shows that, unfortunately, only 32% of registered nurses are busy with their work. An environmental professional estimates and recommends that each laid-off employee could cost the association $22,200 in lost revenue due to a lack of profitability. For a treatment center with 100 healthcare providers, this means an annual loss of profitability of $333,000. For a large structure with 15,000 healthcare providers, the potential damage is $50 million. In any case, the overall poor-quality effect, increased mortality, and increased risk of complications due to poor patient care can be canceled by any treatment center. On the other hand, the benefits of reducing the nursing staff can be enormous, far beyond the consequences simply related to money: understanding, mindfulness and close ties with patients remain in a critical position.
A 2015 study in light of the reactions of more than 200,000 participants identified ten key factors that have the greatest impact on the overall commitment of medical personnel to care:
- The association shows incredible care and management.
- The association treats representatives with respect.
- I love the work I do.
- The conditions of this association oblige the representatives to go far beyond what is expected of them.
- My salary is reasonable compared to other executives in the local medical services.
- My job allows me to make the most of my inclinations and my abilities.
- I receive the equipment and facilities I have at my disposal to provide the best care/benefits to our clients/patients.
- This association offers training opportunities.
- This association does business according to moral principles.
- The well-being of the patient is a necessity in this association
The study also recommends highlighting six key factors that provide supervisors with a comprehensive course to meet the needs of all those who supervise patients.
- It is essential to recognize the multifaceted nature and seriousness of the work done by the service staff and parents.
- The administration is obliged to offer assistance in the form of material, human and passionate resources.
- Empathy and trust must be encouraged and demonstrated.
- Teamwork is essential to progress.
- The impression of caregivers of a positive adaptation to work and personal life reduces the weakness of empathy.
- Communication at all levels is essential.
